In November 2024, Mountain Retreat Yoga Sangha was delighted to once again host Sri M in Switzerland.
Additionally, two talks by Sri M were also organised in Geneva and Bern respectively. Details of the various events are as described below:
With the blessings of Sri M, MRYS was able to organise 2 back-to-back retreats in the heart of the Bernese Oberland region of Switzerland, in a beautiful spacious hall located overlooking Lake Thun at Oberhofen.
Topic: Yoga also for the Godless and benefits of Yoga
This was a free event that had over 80 participants in the spacious hall at Ecole du Pommier in Grand-Saconnex, Geneva.
Sri M enlightened the audience on the core concepts of Yoga, its origin, link to spirituality and how it was free from any religious connotations that people mistakenly attribute. The talk ended with a Q&A where few of the participants had their concerns/doubts/questions answered by Sri M.
The audience also had the privilege of interacting with Sri M before and after the talk.
This retreat was conducted in Oberhofen am Thunersee, Switzerland, where over 100 participants had the unique opportunity to imbibe the teachings and spiritual wisdom of Sri M and also be initiated into the ancient tradition of Kriya Yoga.
Event details
The event began on the 19th of November, 2024 with registrations and complimentary handouts of an official MRYS bag and Sri M’s book “Yoga also for the Godless”. Participants were then offered some hot piping chai before the start of the morning Satsang.
Over the course of the next 2.5 days, Sri M enthralled the audience with deep insights into Kriya Yoga, its philosophy and link to the wisdom of the Upanishads, along with anecdotes of his experiences with Maheshwarnath Babaji and other Masters he encountered on his expansive Spiritual journey.
Sri M also initiated the audience into Kriya Yoga and conducted two practice sessions to ensure the practice was crystal clear in everyone’s mind. A Q&A session during the morning Satsang on the last day further enabled participants to clarify their doubts regarding Kriya.
On the final day, participants had the opportunity of individually offering their Pranaams to Sri M. The bhajans playing in the background added to the ambience and had everyone transported to another realm.
As per the tradition, participants were able to offer Guru Dakshina in the form of a flower to express gratitude to the spiritual teacher for the knowledge imparted. Sri M then gave each participant a fruit as his Prasad.
On all the days of the event, participants were treated to sumptuous Indian vegetarian lunch along with a regular supply of hot chai. Safe to say, it was ensured that everyone left the retreat with their tummies and hearts full!
During the breaks on each day, participants explored the beautiful surroundings of the venue and enjoyed peaceful long walks along Lake Thun.
This retreat was conducted in Oberhofen am Thunersee, Switzerland, where over 100 participants had the unique opportunity to listen, imbibe and introspect on the deep spiritual wisdom that is hidden in the Upanishads. This retreat was a continuation of the “Exploring Consciousness – Body, Mind & Beyond: The Upanishads and Yoga Series” that Sri M has conducted in Switzerland since 2017.

The event began on the 19th of November, 2024 with registrations and complimentary handouts of an official MRYS bag and Sri M’s book “Wisdom of the Rishis”. Participants were then offered some hot piping chai before the start of the morning Satsang.
Over the course of the next 2.5 days, Sri M enthralled the audience with deep dives into 3 principal Upanishads - Kathopanishad, Prashnopanishad and the Ishavaasya Upanishad. Along with bringing out the essence of these Upanishads and the hidden lessons in them, Sri M also shared his experiences with Maheshwarnath Babaji and other Masters he encountered on his expansive Spiritual journey.
There were no Kriya initiations during this retreat, as it was purely focussed on the Upanishads. However, Kriya practitioners had the opportunity to interact with Sri M during the breaks and clarify any doubts regarding Kriya.
A Q&A session during the morning Satsang on the last day further enabled participants to clarify their doubts on the Upanishadic teachings from the retreat.
As with the Kriya retreat, on the final day, participants had the opportunity of individually offering their Pranaams to Sri M and getting personally blessed by him. A flute recital by one of the participants followed by some bhajans from Sri M’s Voyage album, added to the ambience and had everyone transported to another realm.
As per the tradition, participants were able to offer Guru Dakshina in the form of a flower to express gratitude to the spiritual teacher for the knowledge imparted. Sri M then gave each participant a fruit as his Prasad.
